#66 – get a boot jack
Hard to pull your boots off? Get a boot jack! You can use it with rain boots, snow boots, cowboy boots, running shoes, sneakers–just about any shoe or boot with a heel cup. It will save your shoes, and put a smile on your face.
#65 – learn to ride a motorcycle
You don’t have to be a daredevil to enjoy a ride on a motorcycle. Feel connected to nature. Be exposed to the elements. Open your eyes and your mind.
#64 – clean less
You shouldn’t live in filth, but a lot of people spend a lot of time “cleaning” their home that isn’t particularly messy to begin with. Cleaning less will save you money on cleaning supplies. Cleaning less will save you time. Cleaning less can even help your immune system! That’s right. It can be HEALTHY.
#63 – learn to merge
When you are driving you typically don’t have to brake to a crawl or stop to merge into traffic. It is actually safer of you don’t! You don’t have to merge as soon as you can. You don’t have to wait to merge at the last second. Roads are designed to give a length of road so you can smoothly transition.
#62 – be nice to your driver
Whether you are taking a bus, taxi, Uber, Lyft, or other mode of wheels–be nice to your driver. They may not be having a great day, and could use a little kindness from a stranger. Be sure to tell them to have a nice day, and drive safely!
#61 – pick your battles
Chill. Not every aggrevation warrants bringing drama into your life. If you are going to challenge someone or something, pick your battles carefully.
#60 – compost
Look for ways that you can compost! Easier if you have a yard, but even in the city, there are community compost collection bins for public use. If you can’t toss it daily, keep a compost bag in your freezer (to reduce smells), and dispose of the waste when it fills up.
#59 – skateboard
If you used to skateboard as a kid, dust off your board and try again as an adult. If you never skateboarded before, it’s never too late to try. Start with a longboard or something with stiffer trucks/wheels if you are a newbie. Don’t forget the helmet, and wrist, elbow, or knee pads, if you are going to be doing tricks!
#58 – don’t yell at the tow lot guy
When you get towed, don’t take it out on the tow lot guy. He wasn’t the person who made the decision to tow you. He was called or directed to tow you by someone else. Don’t take out your frustration or anger on the tow lot guy. It’s not his fault you got towed.
