Take advantage of the parks system in your city. Walk around the garden paths. Have a picnic. Lay and read in the grass. Photograph the flowers. Run, walk, or bike on the fitness paths. Bring your kids to the playgrounds. Attend free concerts or movie nights. Spend time at the park.
#125 – sleep
Make sure you get enough sleep. Sleep is good for your body and mind. Sleep is necessary to maintain energy. Sleep is restorative. Get enough sleep.
#123 – keep a tidy dressing room
If you are shopping for clothes in a retail store, don’t leave a mess in the dressing room. You are making more work for the employees, and leaving a mess for fellow customers. Keep good karma, by picking up after yourself, and removing items when you exit.
#120 – lay in the grass
On a nice day, lay in the grass. Take a nap. Have a picnic. Read a book. Enjoy the warmth of the sun. Enjoy the softness of the grass.
#119 – say ‘cheers’
Say, “Cheers!” when you are toasting with someone. Look them in the eyes. Smile!
#118 – listen
Listen. Listen to nature. Listen to laughter. Sit back and listen to the white noise. Listen to children. Listen to your heart. Listen.
#116 – use the cart corral
If you use a shopping cart, put it in the cart corral (at a minimum) after loading your purchases in your car instead of just leaving the cart to roll around the parking lot. Doing so is courteous to the store employees and fellow shoppers. Don’t be the one who isn’t respectful!
#115 – say ‘bless you’
Say ‘bless you,’ or the equivalent, after someone sneezes. Even in a movie theatre. Even during a meeting. Even during a wedding ceremony. Or during a funeral. It is good manners, and shows polite understanding toward the person who sneezed.
#114 – share your memories
Happy, sad, hilarious, touching, embarrassing…share your memories with others. Tell your story. Keep your soul alive by connecting with others.
#107 – go on a road trip
Go places you’ve never been. Stop at curiosities. Camp along the way. Talk to strangers in diners. Ask locals where to go. Open your eyes to new experiences!
